Peter tells us that the heavens and the earth that now exist are stored up for fire (2 Peter 3:7).
Some would use this to justify not caring for the earth. It’s a sinking ship, after all.
Can you think of other situations where we care for things that won’t last?

Umm. . . I can think of a few:
My car
My house
My body
It probably isn’t necessary to go on.

Pretty much everything. If I used this justification for my whole life, I think the only answer would be to hide under a rock until
A.) Jesus Comes Back, or
B.) I starve to death while under the rock and go and see him….
